Introduction and Background to Taonga Tuku Iho

The ADPATE process has been used in the development of Taonga Tuku Iho. This process is a recognised tool to support the adoption, adaptation and contextualisation of existing guidelines.

Some modifications were required to allow for the very broad scope of preterm birth and the need to incorporate multiple guidelines and where they did not exist, the opportunity to consider and incorporate the best available evidence that is relevant to Aotearoa with consideration of issues relevant to equity.

This section provides information on guide development and general information about the guide.
